An Australian Sports Vision

In the following article, written by Simon Weatherill, of the MSAC facility in Melbourne is a sporting vision that would make every Australian sports lover proud to be involved in sport in this Country today.  What becomes clear as one reads this article is how the evolution of sport from the community to the elite professional has become so involving and inclusive of our culture.

Keeping Active

When people become despressed, they often have no energy or motivation. As a result, they become less active. Doing regular, physical exercise helps to relieve mental and muscular tension. Physical  exercise, such as walking, swimming, dancing, playing golf or going to the gym, is helpful.

The Passion of Dance

 Anna lived the extraordinary life of a professional Classical dancer. Anna is from Rockhampton Queensland and now lives in Melbourne and has a Russian influence in her life as her father was from Russia.  At 17 Anna went to study Ballet full time in Sydney where she won a scholarship for Ballet in Cannes in France and the rest is history.  Anna is now a teacher of dance in Melbourne.

Dogs Day Afternoon

I met with Darren whose love of dogs has transpired into a dog walking business.  Dog’s Day Afternoon is a thriving business that is currently seeing about 1300 dogs.  This professional dog grooming salon provides a great community service and he loves his involvement with these beloved pets and personalities.  He can be seen walking the streets and parks, in Albert Park and surrounding suburbs, with multiple dogs on lead and a smile on his face.
